In this particular instance, the President hits the Republican opposition where it hurts: national security. Their admonition to the very concept that Osama Bin Laden was tracked, found and killed on President Barack Obama’s watch is palpable. To them, this morbid anniversary occurring at the commencement of the general election season could not have come at a worse time.

Somehow over the last century, we have been led to believe that this is all part of the American Dream – the allowance of “We the People” to revel in the false sense of security granted to us by the notion that we have more money in our individual pockets than wewould have otherwise –  while the men, women and children working tirelessly to quite literally put food on our tables are not even making enough to pick the food they eat, much less have the free time or spare energy to eat it.
